PREREQUISITES

COURSE AIM
The course will give a basic understanding of thermal processing- and joining methods, such as laser material processing, traditional welding, electron beam welding.

CONTENTS
A brief state of the art of thermal processing methods in both theory and practise. Special areas are laser cutting, laser welding, flame cutting, traditional welding, electron beam welding. The course will also go thru different types of equipment used in connection with the different processes. A project work is included in the course.
