COURSE AIM
- To deepen ones knowledge of methods and technics used in the presentation of scientific papers within the disciplin of social science. - To give proficiency in the application of analysis methods and their workings. - To, within the social sciences, independently formulate and test hypothesis and also to give a presentation of conluding results.

CONTENTS
- Basic guidence in how one writes scientific reports. - To show different phases in the research process from the formulation of scientific problems to the presentation ot concluding results. - Practice in how to formulate problems, aquire literature, analyze and interprete data. - Emphasis is put on linquistic presentation of essays and reports.

Seminars and essay. Grading system: Fail, Pass or Honours.

Ejvegård, R.: Vetenskaplig metod. Studentlitteratur, Lund, latest ed.. Relavant literature for essay will be chose in consultation with tutor. Articles for seminar assignments.
