COURSE AIM
The aim of the course is to provide - knowledge of strategic management - knowledge of different management problems in association with strategic management - independently be able to examine and judge scientific business administration work in a critical way - be able to apply scientific methods on business administration problems

CONTENTS
Part 1, Strategic Management, 7.5 credits: This part deals with different aspects of general strategic planning of the firm. Intra firm as well as overall strategic planning of a firm will be discussed in connection with analyzes of different industries. Part 2, Scientific Method, 7.5 credits: Research and investigation approaches as well as data collection methods are presented. During seminars scientific methods will be applied to business administrative problems.

EXAMINATION
Part 1 Students will be graded on a written examination, compulsory assignments and participation at seminars. Written exams will be handled in accordance with alternative A in "Regler för tentamen". Part 2 Students will be graded on a written examination and participation at seminars. Seminars are compulsory. At seminars grading is carried out on oral and written presentations of compulsory assignments. Written exam. 3.0 credits and execution, presentation and defense of assignments 4.5 credits.
