COURSE AIM
The aim of the course is to give the student the historical roots of technology in the social sciences by using classical and modern sociological perspectives and a work of literature.

CONTENTS
The student will examine Max Weber's thesis on rationality and that of the critical thinkers from the Frankfurt School. This theoretical framework will be used to examine classical and modern work of literature.

TEACHING
Teaching will take place in lectures, group presentations and discussions.

EXAMINATION
Presentation of research paper and final examination. Grades awarded: Fail, Pass and Pass with Distinction
