Administrative Data Processing Systems A, 30 credits, or equivalent.

COURSE AIM
The aim of the course is to give the student - knowledge of program development in ANSI C - ability to control most of the elements in the programming language - knowledge of exististing standard libraries

CONTENTS
The course deals with - introduction'- a survey of C - variables and types - program flow control - expressions and operators - functions - the preprocessor - arrays and pointers - structures - modulation - standard libararies and the use of data files - relational data base management/interface

TEACHING
Teaching will take the form of lessons/lectures and laboratory work.

EXAMINATION
Examination will be in the form of written examination.
