Administrative Data Processing Systems A and B1, or equivalent.

COURSE AIM
The aim of the course is to give the student - knowledge of different techniques and methods for Artificial Intelligence and the distinctive character of Expert systems - knowledge of tools, development and the area of use for Artificial Intelligence and Expert systems - knowledge of and practice in methods for collecting and transforming information - practical knowledge of design and construction of an Expert systems

CONTENTS
The course deals with - techniques of knowledge representation - diffuse domains, knowledge data bases - methodology, tools for systems construction - methods of working, designing methodology for Expert systems - design and construction (in practice) of an Expert system in a smaller domain

TEACHING
Teaching will take the form of lectures/lessons and compulsory laboratory work.

EXAMINATION
Examination will be in the form of written examination and required assignments.
