COURSE AIM
The aim of the course is to give the student knowledge of
- problem solution by means of algorithms
- structured programming
- fundamental principles of operating systems
CONTENTS
The course deals with
- Problem solution (10%)
- description and solution of a problem by means of algorithms
- Programming (80%)
- fundamental syntax
- control structures, procedures, functions
- sequential file management
- principles of file management systems
- Operating systems (10%)
- structure and functioning of the computer
- structure and functioning of the operating system
- file organisation and access rights
TEACHING
Teaching will take the form of lessons/lectures and laboratory work.
EXAMINATION
Examination will be in the form of written examination and required assignments.
