COURSE AIM
To give the student the basic concepts and methods in computer aided machine design.

CONTENTS
Computer Graphics and Visualization. Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) system. Geometric modelling. Databases and data structures. Simulation techniques (FEM). Concurrent Engineering (CE).

TEACHING
Lectures and computer laboratory work. Attendance at the laboratory work is compulsory.

EXAMINATION
Written examination and oral and written presentation of computer laboratory work. The grade will be based on the written exam and the presentation.
