The syllabus has been approved by the Dept. of Human Work Sciences on 23 Sept. 1993 and will be effective from autumn term '95.

FÖRKUNSKAPSKRAV
General eligibility for admission and a good knowledge in English

MÅL
To give the students a general knowledge about ergonomics and its objectives with examples of intervention at work.

INNEHÅLL
A mixture of theoretical and practical orientation, emphasizing on theories and models as well as focussing on implementation issues, techniques and examples of intervention. Optimization of physical activities, requirements for successful intervention and rationale for empowering people to participate in problem solving.

UNDERVISNING
Lectures and description of ergonomic intervention examples. The students will work in groups of 2 or 3 with an example of an ergonomic intervention and their findings presented

EXAMINATION
Classroom assessment, presentation of the intervention study and reporting
