COURSE AIM
The aim of the course is to - give competence in writing good programs in a modern imperative language - give an introduction to data abstraction. - give an introduction to a modern operating system and to computer science fundamentals.

CONTENTS
Elements of programming Ð expressions and declarations, functions and procedures. Data abstractions. Computer science fundamentals: Introduction till some areas in computer science, for instance computer architecture, programming languages etc. UNIX. The file system. Editing.
