COURSE AIM
The aim of the course is to - give competence in writing good programs in a modern imperative language - give an introduction to data abstraction and compilers - give an introduction to a modern operating system.

CONTENTS
Elements of programming. Expressions and declarations. Functions and procedures. Introduction to data abstractions. The file system, shell programming in UNIX.
