COURSE AIM
The aim of this course is to give an introduction to general geology.

CONTENTS
General geology. Plate tectonics and the formation of the Earth. Mineralogy. Identification methods. Petrology. Diagnostic methods for rocks. Structural geology. Prequaternary och regional geology. Quaternary geology and soils Field-work and excursions Geologic mapping.

TEACHING
Lectures will be given in Swedish.
