COURSE AIM
The course will give an deepened understanding into methods for cartographic visualisation. The course is intended for future cartographers who will be working with printed maps and to GIS user in general who want to work with simpler visualisation tools.

CONTENTS
Basic concepts Laws and regulations Basic cartographic rules Repro techniques Colour systems Simple map presentations on laser printers and WWW

TEACHING
Lectures and laboratory work. Participation in laboratory work is compulsory. A compulsory assignment with a written report.
