COURSE AIM
The students should at the end of the course:
-have knowledge and understanding of different conditions of living in Europe,
-be able to understand and observe the new situation which the internationalization in the society mean,
-be able to work on and develop co-operation with school, child care and school-child care in other European countries,
-be able to work-out didactic/methodical models.
CONTENTS
¥ The new Europe- new democracies, religions, population transferences, free flows- threats, possibilities, belief in the future, challenges
¥ Demography
¥ Cultural heredity and cultural traditions
¥ Young people and leisure time
¥ Children and school/pre-school/school-child care
¥ Idea of the world through media information or the role of the mass media
¥ To write project applications to foundation/funds.
TEACHING
Lectures, lessons, field studies, group works, seminars and a specialized work. A field study in one of the European countries is part of the course. The field study will have a cost.
EXAMINATION
The examination is written and oral, individual and in group.
COURSE GRADE SCALE: Fail, Pass.
