COURSE AIM
The aim of the course is to: Increase the knowledge and understanding of children from different culture in our society. Give the students an increased knowledge of children«s life and conditions from a global perspective. The students should get a feeling for and a consciousness of that I, as a member of the staff in my child-care group/class, can give the children the positive belief in the future, where they experience that they, together with other, can deal with the challenges of the future.

CONTENTS
Contacts with people who have been working, particularly, in the Third World. Establish relations with sister schools, pre-schools or other child institutions. Organizations/associations/churches that work with international issues. A written action programme is carried out about co-operation, variety of cultures or antiracism in child group/class.

TEACHING
Lectures, lessons, group practices, educational visits.

EXAMINATION
Multigroup assessmets. The action programme is accounted for the other students at follow-up seminars.
COURSE GRADE SCALE: Fail, Pass.
