PREREQUISITES

COURSE AIM
To give basic knowledge about the software and the hardware for a PC-based CAD-system. To develop the skill to use the computer as a natural tool in the work.

CONTENTS
The hardware inside the system unit. Operating System (OS) such as MS-DOS, Windows, UNIX and MacOS. System for input and output (I/O). System applications, exercises using different software applications.

TEACHING
The education consists of lectures, computer exercises and compulsory problems.

EXAMINATION
Compulsory problems.
