PREREQUISITES

COURSE AIM
To provide knowledge in basic civil engineering and of the behaviour of building materials under different conditions.

CONTENTS
Material properties of concrete, metals and wood. Environmental effects and durability. Mechanisms of heat transfer and moisture flow. Influence of fire. Noise reduction requirements. Foundations, frames and roofs. Construction drawings.

TEACHING
Lectures, laboratory work.

EXAMINATION
Written examination.
