COURSE AIM
The aim of the course is to give basic knowledge of strrength of materials, as well as bar and beam analysis.

CONTENTS
Basic of strength of materials: Stresses and strains, relations and transformations Bars: Calculations of stresses, strains and deformations Beams: Calculations of moments, shear forces and deformations in bending Calculations of stresses from bending and torsion Assignment Construction of a statically determinate frame Laborations Measuring of strains and deflections on a steel beam Measuring and comparing stresses in different directions on a pressurized tube with Mohrs circle of stress

TEACHING
The teaching consists of lectures, exercises and assignments. Assignments are compulsory.

EXAMINATION
Written examination at the end of the course. Assignments.
